After the closing of the doors of the XIX Edition four years ago and the consequent forced break caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Montoro Olive Tree Fair resurfaces this 2022 with more determination and enthusiasm than ever.
Looking back, we bid farewell to the facilities of the Patrimonio Comunal Olivarero in 2018, feeling the general optimism for the results obtained: both at a business level, -from its exhibitors- and at a commercial level, -from its visitors-. The main challenge was to adequately manage the global leadership of the olive sector not only in Andalusia, but also at national and international level.
What’s new in this new edition?
This will be the most important edition in the history of the event since its consolidation in 2002 following the creation of the Olive Fair Consortium. With the slogan, Towards the digitalisation of olive growing, Montoro will witness the revolution in the olive sector first hand.
In 2022, the Olive Tree Fair will be the backbone of technology and agriculture, digitalisation and production, transformation and olive technology. The olive sector and the agro-industrial sector in general are undergoing a spectacular change in all aspects, from different cultivation techniques to production methods, among others.
This is the real reason why the business relations forged at this event are so important, as it is the perfect setting to show the world a unique showcase, focused on the digitalisation of olive growing and olive oil technology. Agriculture 4.0 is making its way under our roots and is advancing rapidly, which is why all machinery and technology companies are applying new digitalisation models; and the Olive Tree Fair will be the ideal window to show the world these advances.
It is of general interest to announce that companies designing and producing new technologies applied to the olive tree and agriculture in general will be present at this agro-industrial event from 11 to 14 May. Exhibitors will be able to establish commercial relations and visitors will be able to appreciate the most innovative technology related to: drones, telematic assistance for phytosanitary treatments and irrigation, satellite image processing, new forms of harvesting, traceability 4.0, intelligent reception yards or the automatic optimisation of the extraction process, as well as many other aspects related to this industrial revolution known as agriculture 4.0.
