On the other hand, Extenda (Andalusian Agency of Foreign Promotion) will carry out an important commercial mission that will be destined to companies of the sector of the auxiliary industry of the olive grove. The main objective will be to show the Andalusian olive oil offer and capture business opportunities with importers, representatives, distributors, purchasing centres or manufacturers interested in complementing the business line of countries such as Algeria, Peru, Chile, Morocco, Peru, Turkey and Tunisia. Likewise, the presence of exhibitors from Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Sweden and Turkey will be promoted.
Technical days and activities of the fair
In addition to the exhibition, there will also be technical conferences in which current events will prevail at this fair. Due to the latest amendments to the regulations implementing the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in the olive oil sector on the application of direct payments, the main topic to be addressed will be: In search of a decent income for olive groves: conversion and self-regulation. An interesting proposal for debate in which experts in each of the topics to be dealt with will ask whether conversion is a question of need or innovation, of the vision of self-regulation from the perspective of production, processing, marketing and administration.
As for the programming of parallel activities, the best AOVE in the world listed in the EVOOLEUM International Competition will once again be the protagonists in the Second Extra Virgin Show, an initiative of the 2016 edition that had a good impact on the visiting public: it is estimated that around 3,600 people visited this exhibition.
